The LEDA Scholars Program

The LEDA Scholars program accepts approximately 60 students each year to become Advantage Testing LEDA Scholars.
Recruitment and Admission: Each year, LEDA searches the nation to recruit approximately 60 students. Our Scholars are exceptional students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, currently underrepresented in our nation’s top colleges, universities and ultimately, leadership sectors.
The Aspects of Leadership Summer Institute held annually at Princeton University is an intensive, seven week program including leadership study, writing instruction, standardized test preparation, and college advising.
College Guidance: LEDA’s staff members introduce students to the range of educational opportunities available to them at the nation’s top colleges and universities with the primary purpose of helping each Scholar to find the best fit for his or her educational goals. Students have the opportunity to visit a variety of colleges and universities, interacting with college admissions staff members at each to begin preparing for the admissions process. LEDA staff provide one-on-one college counseling and guide all Scholars through each stage of their college applications, from selecting colleges, to crafting admissions materials, to securing financial aid and scholarships.
Scholar Support: LEDA supports scholars attending college by providing ongoing resources and guidance. LEDA’s Director of Scholar Support helps students to navigate the transition from high school to college, and assists them throughout their college careers to become exemplary students and leaders.
